What diplomat is truly, honestly unbiased? Many say they are, many actually believe that they are, but the truth of it is that unless youve never met anyone on either side of what youre negotiating, youre not in any alliance, and in all actuality have never played the game - since youre likely to have been on one side or the other at some time in the past - well then youre not unbiased. However, simply because youve sworn fealty to one side or another doesnt mean you cant be a diplomat, too.

Most diplomats are of the biased unfair type, seeing as how theyre attached to an alliance. Immediately upon doing so youre biased, its really quite simple, so dont take offence to that. Many diplomats love their alliance with a vengeance, going so far as to lose their own province for it when their diplomacy fails. And so, this will center on how those diplomats should act.

The most important part of being a Biased Diplomat is being capable of working with people who arent members. Any BD must be able to realize that that non-member will, obviously, be attempting to do the same thing you are: Getting what benefits them the most. Now, the trick here is to get what benefits you the most *without anyone getting hurt!* Most of the time, threats and demands are made, and all that happens is war. Diplomacy frowns on this, and so we try not to do that, and instead resort to "Pretty pretty please, go away or I will quietly conspire to have you killed." Im not too sure if its not worse.
